I was fortunate enough to have completed the TransAmerica Trail last summer and the ride turned out to be a truly epic adventure that provided countless memories of a lifetime. Immediately following the trip, I felt an overwhelming desire to be back in the saddle and on the road again. There is something really special about the simplicity of having the only task for the day being riding a bike. This type of adventure allows one to reset and get back to the basics of life without all the drama and self-imposed stressors ever so present in today’s world. I am beyond excited to be able to now take all the lessons learned from last summer’s adventure and tackle the premier off-pavement cycling route known as the Great Divide Mountain Bike Route (GDMBR) starting in Banff, Canada and crisscrossing the Continental Divide all the way down to the US and Mexico border in Antelope Wells, New Mexico. This should be interesting…
