Folker and I hung out in the shade provided by the camp laundry facilities yesterday and enjoyed the continuous cool breeze as we relaxed and eventually cooked our dinner. I am enjoying my camp stove and cookware and getting the hang of it all. If you can boil water, then you have the potential to be a fantastic cook while tent camping.

The full moon lit up the campsite early this morning and I was able to conduct pack up operations without the aid of any artificial light. It would have been a perfect NVG night for those military pilots out there. The moon was off to the west and provided some nice views as we made our way up the road.
During the moon setting, a bright white light caught my eye on the horizon and before long there was a train whizzing by us while paralleling the road that we were sort of whizzing down ourselves. It was moving at a good pace and I was hooting and hollering as it passed by us for what seemed to be a very long time. After it finally was finished with playing the role of morning alarm for everyone nearby, I looked at Folker and said “Well, Good Morning Folker!” There is usually not too much conversation between us until the sun has been up for while.
The early morning riding in the dark was for me the best part of the ride today. We enjoyed a spectacular cycling trail through some wooded areas and then rode under a tree tunnel made of rows of banyan trees which are perhaps some of the most unique trees I have seen in my lifetime.

After a quick breakfast stop, we essentially had made ourselves onto the road that would be traveled for the remainder of the day, A1A. The highlight for Folker today was perhaps when he found the National Navy UDT-Seal Museum. Unfortunately, we were a little too early to be able to see inside, but the there were numerous pieces of equipment outside that were definitely eye candy.

We had the best weather conditions of the trip and were able to make good time in our longest ride to date. It is amazing how something as simple as favorable weather can really change the mood while riding.

Tomorrow will be time to link up with my family and take a day off to enjoy some of the attractions at Walt Disney World. Erin has been there with the kids since yesterday and showing them the time of their lives. I am ready for some of that action myself.
Pro Tip: When your riding partner is busy performing inevitable bike maintenance on a long journey, make sure to watch from a distance and text the hard worker pictures of the work being performed along with appropriate memes.
