We all made great use of the time that I was given with the family at Shades of Green at Walt Disney Resort. The kids and I swam and swam, eventually shutting the pool down Saturday night. Spending a day with the family at EPCOT on Sunday was also a treat to say the least. The kids are absolutely amazing as it was not what anyone would get confused as cool during the day and they just kept on keeping on. For the record, the Guardians of the Galaxy ride was as intense as it gets for a roller coaster.
I would like to say thanks to my buddy Folker for taking Erin and me out for dinner at a fine Italian restaurant downstairs last night while Chase watched little lady back in the room. Folker seemed to be amazed at the recreational facilities provided to our current service members and veterans.

Erin dropped Folker and me back onto the route early this morning like the fine trooper she has always been, that’s one of the many reasons why I love her. Off we went as Erin gave us a honk as she headed back to the happiest place on earth.
This morning started off as usual, the sound of our tires rolling over the asphalt with a car or two passing us periodically. Where it drastically changed is about the time the sun was going to embrace us with her presence and that is when we found ourselves on a rail to trail system that was simply sublime.
The East Coast Regional Rail Trail was emaculate and gave us plenty of time during about half of the ride’s mileage today to enjoy nature. We saw wild turkeys, rabbits, a deer and heard many birds singing their songs. I was surprised as to how long we were able to stay on the trail system and it truly is a cycling jewel for the state of Florida as part of the Florida Coast to Coast Route.

We eventually transitioned to the Central Florida Rail Trail and saw some interesting signs posted by the locals. Seems to be a lot of good hearted people with a sense of humor in these parts.

Daytona Beach was a place of interest that we cruised through via Beach Street late this morning. Plenty of motorcycle dealerships as this place is home of Daytona Beach Bike Week where about 500,000 motorcycle enthusiasts make their way into town for the annual 10-day event.

We were simply cruising today and before we knew it we had made our way to the campsite using the beautiful Beach Street. We were able to check in early and we both quickly showered before making our way down to the Tomoka Outpost. This oasis has offered us a place to eat some skating rink nachos and sip on some lemonade while knocking out our blog posts. Life is good!
